HIGH SCHOOL: THIRD TERM 2018 CLOSING NEWSLETTER
Parents and guardians, on behalf of Mother Touch High School (MTGS), I hope I find you well. We are ever grateful for your continued support. We thank God for seeing us through this busy and eventful third term. The events of the third term kept all of us (learners and staff members) on our toes for excellent results in everything we did.
SPEECH AND PRIZE GIVING DAY:
October 10 was a very important day on our school calendar. Our Speech and Prize Giving Day was held together with our 2018-2019 Prefects Inauguration. 93% of our parents and guardians were in attendance together with our sponsors, church representatives, neighbouring schools heads, and some members of the community, Ministry officials, media our suppliers and service providers. The speech and Prize Giving Day summarised syllabus coverage throughout the year. We thank you all for coming.
The HEXCO Computer Examinations started on 15 October 2018 and the last practical was on the 16 October 2018.
Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced Level (‘O’ and ‘A’) Examinations started on 15 October 2018 and ended on 23 November 2018, successfully.
INTERNAL END OF YEAR EXAMINATIONS: Our internal examinations for forms 1, 2, 3 and 5 ran from 7 to 26 November 2018. We value these examinations as they are very important to the school in general and learners in particular. They are a measure of where we are and guide us on what we need to do before public examinations.
All our examinations went on smoothly without any challenges or hic-ups. Our learners conducted their first science practical well. We are now waiting for results and thank God for his continued favour and grace because alone we falter.
GREAT ZIMBABWE AND CHIREDZI TRIP
The learners had an amazing time of learning and socialising during the Great Zimbabwe and Chiredzi trips.

The trip fee is $7 500.00 per learner to cover, air ticket, visa, accommodation, insurance, food, activities, transport around the UK and Europe and other logistics.
FEES AND LEVIES
As a school, we endeavour to continue working diligently to bring out the best in our learners. However, we need parents’ support to produce the expected excellent results. We expect fees to have been paid before schools open for the first term in January 2019 for the smooth running of our school. Non-payment of fees on time has negative emotional and psychological effect on our learners.
We also thrive to keep our staff members motivated and provide the necessary resources so as to produce the expected EXCELLENT results. As a school, we have no other source of income except the fees and levies. We have revised our fees to $ 500.00 per term which is likely to be reviewed in due course.
We are ever grateful to all our parents and guardians who pay fees and levies on time. Our banking Account details are as following: Mother Touch Group of Schools, Banc ABC, Heritage Branch and Account Number: 12555355402010. Cash, swipe and /or ecocash payments are accepted at the school front office. For more enquiries kindly call 0772 318 890 / 0733 835 379 / 04 216676 or visit our website: www.mothertouch.ac.zw.
